Gordon D McHendry: On a Deadly Duo of Diseases - Severe M.E. and MCS

Vehicle of Becoming
|
The noble Caduceus has lost it's way
In the madness of scientism that rules today
We're swimming with sharks in a night-time sea
In the wrong paradigm, we must break free

But where do you go? And what do you say?
When a disease of tomorrow is destroying you today
Wrecking your body, sapping your mind
Breaking your heart with impunity you find

You marshal your strengths. You give it your all
But the harder you try the further you fall
An invisible disease is devouring your life
As it creeps through society without struggle or strife

No answer it seems to this terrible plight
All exits blocked at every turn
Feels like plunging into endless night
Where the hellish fires of hopelessness burn

Then together the senses scream
Silent, motionless, before that final toll
Desperate longing for the wordless dream
Of the childlike, homesick, naked soul

No need for shape to Self or God
Nor need to judge what's wrong or right
To the very brink - the last path trod
I'm falling, falling, into the Formless Bright...
